This might no longer summer or falls (for most part of the world) and would likely be winter, almost spring, but this mini round still keeps going and surprisingly, turned out to be much bigger story than what I initially planned.

Starting literally a year ago, suspended for many months due to the tournament, the mini round finally comes to an end. Now, we need to decide who’s going to receive the medals, so we’ll look back that the game.

Beginning with the Scylla battle as a starter, everyone fought their own opponents that are specifically designed for their need. Each characters performed nicely in their own way, so there’s no score to grade. Although some characters are given a slightly stronger enemies than the rest, as the Scylla are divided by either Red or Golden tier. Whoever fought the golden Scylla means they’re more powerful than most other players on the game.

Thus, players with such advantage are: LynBhodIcelia, and Tsunami.

This doesn’t meant that it’s guaranteed that any of them would win the game. They just happened to fought some tougher opponent, anyway.

The real indicator comes from who in the round can do their mission the best, and the message of the round is about saving the world, caring for nature, fighting against pollution, protecting both the land and the ocean.

Many players such as RaphaelAllanSidianKestrel and Meyer are fighting for the sake of nature. However there’s two of such players that just happened to go against the golden Scylla, and thus Lyn and Tsunami are specifically ahead of everyone else. This grants them a little bit of extra points.

Everyone else still stand a chance, as proven that Raphael climbed the leader quickly and catch up with the two. Meyer also ended up being a spotlight in the prologue and still act as a leader until the end of the story. This makes both Raphael and Meyer to be another big candidate, though both have their own problems. Meyer did not contribute much other than for summoning Chrysalis, and he didn’t even fight by himself until the Metamorphosis happen. Meanwhile Raphael is one of the most ideal character here when it comes to fighting pollution, but unfortunately, the author of the character is inactive…

Either way, we need to analyze who contribute the most to the boss battle, especially because Charybdis is very tanky and with extreme level of defense, making it utterly impossible for this to be won without a teamwork.

Those such as LuziaYakaira, and Allan aren’t so lucky here because it’s hard for them to deal damage to the boss. Similar case to Luca & Leven, though they still can help by managing nature, and that they could have deal huge damage to the boss, but unfortunately, the player went missing from the game, and thus they almost never get any important role in the boss battle.

A rare and unique example here are Kestrel and Coda that can keep on hitting the boss whenever they want, given the right circumstance. Kestrel can control the weather and she’s a big help in the game. Coda could hurt the boss with his super tough jaws, but the boss can easily shaken him off, and that Coda could only fight on the ocean, thus limiting his chances.

From here on, we can see that the biggest contributors are: LynBhodSidianRaphaelIceliaTsunami, and Meyer once he get his buff.

We can divide them into:

  • Melee: SidianRaphaelIceliaTsunami, and Meyer
  • Ranged: Lyn and Bhod

Those who fight on melee already in extreme disadvantage because the boss stay on the ocean for the most of time, so they can do very little thing when the boss stays underwater. However they hit the hardest when the boss goes up into the land, which will happen because Charybdis need to recharge.

Among the melee fighters, Sidian burned the boss the most, but he himself is susceptible of running out of control. Raphael is the best when it comes to purification, but he only deal damage in certain moves. Icelia is good at both offense and defense, so she’s all rounded. Tsunami is freaking OP but she’s water so the boss countered her too. Meyer can’t do anything but to command his army until he finally get to transform near the ending.

Ranged players can contribute all the time, although when it comes to offense and defense, Bhod far surpassed Lyn. The issue is that, Bhod is too destructive for a round about protecting nature. His flame might be holy and pure, but he’s still vengeful and driven by hatred, bend to destruction. On the other side, Lyn is totally perfect for the round, but she’s a support, so she stays at the back side, healing and helping with little things at most of time.

It might be surprising, but on this round, we didn’t have any player who dominate the game, since we usually have few of them in every round. The closest to a “protagonist” in the round are Meyer and Lyn, but both of them stay back until the ending when their full power went unleashed.

So before we picked the best character to represent the round…

Here’s the result of the voting poll!

Well… That was surprising…

Apparently, Tsunami is the #1 vote of the game!  (That is until I voted on Raphael, making the two tied on the same position)

First, I need to explain the reason behind my votes:

  • Lyn: She fits with the theme, and she did the mission of the round, as she cared for nature, helped with the pollution, and many more to list here. Her disadvantage is that she can’t lead the battle because she’s a support that just stay behind to watch over her team.
  • Raphael: Nothing better against impurity than embodiment of purity itself. Raphael is a nature lover which makes it even more perfect to fight against the Petrolith! His defense is impervious to manipulation and corruption, while his offense is pretty remarkable as well.
  • Bhod: Well… I choose him simply because he contributed a lot to the battle and we need him to win the game, although I didn’t really want him to represent the round because he’s against the message of the story, as he spread hellish destruction for selfish reason.

I wanted to vote for Coda or Icelia but I already voted on them on the honorable mention. Same goes with Tsunami, though Tsunami already have enough vote by herself. She got a surprisingly huge supporter!

Tsunami might be the biggest (insert size issues meme here) spotlight on the game, since she’s just so badass and so awesome, she could have completely wrecked the boss by herself if not for her issues. She need purification and the Tower of Corruption makes her unconscious for a long time that she’s arrived late. When she’s in the game, she wrecked the boss in solo 1v1 battle, though the boss can easily countered her by either freezing her or bombarding her.

Tsunami is a very important player to deal with the pollution, but she can’t win this by herself. Without Raphael, she would be sleeping with the fishes and went missing from the game, which would be really sucks.

Raphael meanwhile, probably contributed the most. Not only he resurrect Tsunami, he also saved Kestrel from the explosion, stopped Sidian when he went berserk, and act as the communicator between everyone. Sadly, his author is inactive and does not contribute to the game. Drakon barely even discussed the Scylla battle and went vanished ever since then.

Lyn is one of the best candidate as well, with her contributing here and there, especially giving the Metamorphosis to Meyer. Thanks to her, Meyer can return and lead the battle, kicking out with an awesome move! However, Meyer and Lyn are away from most of the combat, as they usually stay at the sideline. Lyn contribute much more than Meyer, unless if you want to accounted the fact that Chrysalis summoned by Meyer, and we can’t win without the Chrysalis.

So, among the best candidates, here are their issues:

  • Tsunami: She’s awesome and her final moment is outstanding, but she still arrived late and get defeated multiple times. We need her to purify the ocean but she also need purification, because she got nothing else than her own body, and her ability to absorb pollution.
  • Lyn: Stay out of combat for most of time. Able to do a lot but get countered hard by the boss. Only fought the boss at the ending. One of the best player but didn’t get enough vote.
  • Bhod: Too destructive, with little to no care about nature. He’s good to represent the concept of summer, but he’s still too harmful.
  • Raphael: Player is totally inactive, missing from Wattpad.

In the end, it’s really hard to choose…

Everyone contribute in their own way, but we’re still in stalemate. This is because the highest voting goes to Raphael and Tsunami, but Raphael is from inactive player, and Tsunami have several drawback. Lyn deserve to win but didn’t get enough vote, which is the primary reason why she can’t win…

Well then…

I guess I’ll settle with this…

THE THREE OF THEM WIN WITH A DRAW!!

Congratulation for the winners!!

Champions of the Round:

Lyn Burke/Lyn Camellia by @TheBiologist13 Your dedication on protecting nature and to heal the needy really shine on this round. I think it’s a beautiful coincidence that a doctor won with a medic character.

Raphael, The Archangel Guardian, The Dark Light by @Shadowdrakon99 Bless you for submitting him, for we all need his purification. Raphael worked hard on the team, and to purge out corruption from the world.

Tsunami, the Water Elemental by @TheTrueTerrydactyl The most popular and fan favorite, which totally understandable since she’s just super awesome! Gotta love that time when she beat the boss by herself!

Honorable Heroes:

Coda-9994 by @Sandcat You’re the most honorable player in the game! Coda deliver the bittersweet message about the importance of protecting ocean from pollution, and his message hit hard with his sacrifice.

Icelia, The Third Alice, The Snow Queen by @ZacKember As someone who knows her fate in the canon story, it makes me so happy that she can be a hero, in a world where she given chance to be a good person again.

Sergeant Major Meyer Wellgard by @Crimson_Scythe Though he didn’t fight much by himself, he’s still the leading character, the commander of the army. Beside, thanks to him, Chrysalis regained her faith in humanity.

And finally, a mention to all the contender:

Bhod, the First Summer Lord by @litericy Your guy is epic and powerful but he destroyed too much of nature. At least, his greatness engraved the burning glory of the Summer Country into the land of Somerset.

Yakaira, the Fruit of Joy by @Spider-Hawk A cute and funny fairy with a lot of capabilities, but it’s hard to write them interacting with everyone else, and I struggled really hard to figure out the motivation of this fairy.

Nature’s Guardian, Allan by @Benxall You did really great and your character is perfect for the round. You’re just not lucky today, because everyone else brought an even bigger contender to the game.

Sidian, the Dark Fire, the First Unborn by @blue_jay Sidian did good and he’s helping much, but his dislike toward human makes it hard for him to get along with many characters here, which is just natural, knowing who he is.

Kestrel of Clan Bird by @MistickMage The weather mage of the game! Her storm magic supported us through the entire time! She might not do much by herself, but she’s still helping us even if she stayed behind.

Luzia Vitoria by @MainsGrills The badass zombie girl is badass on all of her battle, but she just happened to deal with something so huge, and they rather swimming on the ocean than fighting on the land.

Luca Lazzra, Polaris’ Child by @nighted Luca and Leven could have be a great contender to the game, but it’s hard to discuss about them due to the player’s inactivity. Hope that the next time would be a better one.
